Hello Marauders!

Alura here :), back again to take part in the fantastical challenges you muses think up.

Just popped in to say Hi and to deliver my very first challenge:

'End of War' Challenge

A dystopian world where Harry dies and Voldemort lives after five years of war - mainly through Draco's eyes (though does not have to be first person), involving a grieving Hermione and Ron confrontation with Draco - POV switches to other characters and their fates.

Word Limit: 1500 words

Hope you guys take up the challenge and happy ficcing :o)

Maraudering Muses needs a bit of comforting for it has gotten so very lonely, so I just thought I'd post a little something that popped strangely into my mind...It has no real purpose, just a strange little thing that needed to be written. Enjoy!

It didn't make any sense. Last thing I remembered, I had been sitting quietly in my rocking chair at home, rocking and singing my one year old to sleep, and then, suddenly, there was a knock on the door. Frank went to answer it, and after that, everything is coated with a sort of gentle haze. I sit here in this unfamiliar room, of this uncomfortable bed, listening to strange sounds of irregular breathing from beside me while bits and pieces of a puzzle slowly fitting together. <i>Collapse )

» Shortest Summer
This piece was written for a challenge posted in the Shack, where the reason for a short summer at number four must be revealed. I used the first "glimpse" from the "Windows" challenge here, and expounded on it to come up with a short summer at Privet Drive for Harry.

This challenge also required: Harry receive a kiss before he leaves, the Dursley's must each have at least two lines, and there must be a mention of a tea cosy. :: shrugs ::

Anyway, I thought I would post it here, since the first bit came from here. I have to admit there are a few spots I would have liked to rework to make it a bit mure fluid, but the word count and limit (min 750/max 2000), kept me from reworking it further. Any thoughts or insight are welcome and appreciated. Best! ~ May

» Away from the Sun
I’ll be completely honest: I don’t really like this piece. It doesn’t seem to really move along with the lyrics, but I suppose this is as good as it’s going to get. How to improve this would be MUCH appreciated…I’m afraid my muse is starting fade…

Enough rambling! Here’s the Away from the Sun challenge:

Hi! I know I haven't been posting here recently, nor have I been reading/reviewing. Shame on me. But I have tried to do some of the challenges and discovered I really can't write worth anything. lol So I was thinking of posting a challenge, even though I know there are still some other challenges out there.

The Challenge Requirements:
-inspired by 3 Doors Down's Away From the Sun
-500 words or more
-written in first person
-the speaker is either reveiled at the end or not at all
-someone must say this "It's down to this. I've got to make this life make sense and now I can't tell what I've done."
-someone must leave forever

Nyah! I can't even come up with a good challenge either! I know its another song fic, and I hope that's ok. I love this song and I'd love to see what ya'll come up with!
=D
» The reason
Alright, so I did the The Reason Challenge set up by May, and I am quite pleaed with myself, though some places are a bit rocky and were rushed as you will probably be able to tell. I must say I've never seen this pairing before, therefore making it quite unusual and unexpected. Though I'll admit I reused words like gleam far too much, but could not think of any synonyms which fit quite as nicely.

The Challenge: Write a Fic inspired by Hoobastank's The Reason

The Requirements:
-Fic length: More than 750 (thank God for that...)

-Fic features unexpected HP (or other Fandom)

-Fic must take place in at least two locations

-Pairing must be "outed" in the end...that is one or both profess their love before the audience of your choosing

I pretty sure I met all of the requirements, and I hope this moves nicely with the song.
