Very dark sorrowful work here, Anna, but very nicely done nonetheless. Every word seemed to bring even more anguish and depression than before, and everything seemed to be quickly slipping downhill for Remy and Hermione, but you definately stopped that landslide before it hit rock bottom. I really loved this bit, even if Remus did sound a bit insane:
Remus laughed bitterly, catching a hint of irony in Hermione’s last statement. “But I am alone, Hermione. Very alone, and I have been for a while.”
“Let me help you,” she pleaded, her brown eyes beseeching. “I know I can help.”
And of course, Hermione's never one to give up. In anything.
This really did move along with the lyrics nicely. I must agree with May, I don't see this ship moving along very smoothly, but it does work in this one-shot. They do seem to fit personality-wise, even if their ages don't.
